Today's my birthday. My seventeenth. I had thought that when you got to 17 you were old. When I was 10 I thought at 17 you were as good as dead. An adult. But today I don't feel that old. I barely feel 17. There was no magic moment at 2 in the morning that proclaimed "you are an adult now!" But how could I possibly know? I slept through it.
